Grab The Games: Space Beast Terror Fright

Who is fun of the Alien games and the alien movies franchise? I am sure most of you guys are. Today I present you SBTR a game inspired by this franchise! But what is SBTR? S.B.T.F. is a very hard arcade-style / rogue-like / perma-death first person shooter. You play as Space Marines who must brave dark, claustrophobic and terrifyingly intense Space Beast infested spacecraft in order to extract critical data and lucrative upgrades. Can you make it out alive?

The game revolves around the concept of a procedurally generated maze-like spacecraft which is unique each time, within which the Marines must search out Data Cores to be downloaded. The spacecraft are infested with Xenomorphs that are extremely lethal, and the Marines must brave these dark and hostile environments in order to complete the objective of retrieving all critical data and ultimately setting the reactor core to overload. The first thing that I loved in this game is the roquelike feature. After you die and restart the game nothing is the same. The spacecraft which is like a big maze is different each time, everything.

This feature definitely boosts the game and makes it worth playing over and over since nothing is in the same place. Another positive aspect is definitely the use of sentry guns in the game which are scattered across the spacecraft. The sentries will help you survive much longer and it will assist you when you are overwhelmed by Xenomorphs. Another aspect which is worth mentioning is that with every data core you download you get various upgrades that can for example enhance your vision or get more ammo for your weapon.

The game also features co-op up to 4 players (must try!). However, there are some negative aspects I should mention. The graphics are definitely not the strongest aspect of the game. The graphics could have been much better! Moreover, another negative for me is that there is only 1 weapon available and 1 type of enemy! It would be fun to see more weapons and more enemies in the game.

To sum it up, this game despite its early access state has it all! Roquelike features, dark atmosphere. It has enormous potentials. Despite the negative aspects it is really fun to play and I really enjoyed it. Hope it will receive more updates in the feature!
