Grab The Games: Etherium

One of my favorite genre of games is definitely RTS and I am really happy I have the chance to review Etherium a real-time strategy game set in a science-fiction universe, where three factions battle it out for a mysterious and rare resource known as 'Etherium'. But what exactly is Etherium? In this game you manage your resources, develop your base, and take command of infantry, tanks, aircraft, and gigantic colossi of war to battle not only your foes, but weather anomalies and mysterious secondary factions in richly strategic and original RTS gameplay.

In the single player Conquest mode, develop your technological capabilities and expand your colonies over the furthest sectors of space, assembling a formidable armada. Is Etherium worth playing? Does it have a good multiplayer? You will find out right now! Let me first tell you the positive aspects. First and foremost, I like that there are 3 different empires that the player can choose from each one with different skills, units, strengths and weaknesses. This aspect definitely made me play the game more and more since I wanted to test all the factions and their abilities.

Furthermore, another positive aspect is the fact that the game has both single player and multiplayer as well with up to 4 player support. I liked in conquest mode that there were a lot of info when you select a faction. There are background info, skills info, a difficulty setting etc. That is extremely helpful especially for inexperienced players. Furthermore, there are some story elements in the game that make more interesting as you play the game. I also loved the fact that there are more than one ways to beat your enemies.

You can destroy their mother ship or destroy their colonies. It is up to the players to decide how they want to play the game. Now time for the negative aspects. The game lacks some story depth in the single player mode. Something that would definitely make the game even more interesting. Moreover, the graphics and the sounds used in this title are definitely not the strongest point. They need a lot of work. Also, there are not a lot of people active in the game to play against.

To sum, I had a good time playing this RTS title but it definitely needs a lot more work to reach the other RTS gems available in the market/stores. I recommend it but people should be aware of the negative aspects before buying it.
