Grab The Games: Eldegarde

Another day, another review for our fans! Today we’re jumping into Eldegarde, the action-RPG extraction title that recently launched its full 1.0 version on Steam, evolving from its Early Access roots and offering both PvE and PvPvE fantasy combat.

At its core, Eldegarde blends fast-paced third-person action with extraction-style objectives and a fantasy world filled with danger and loot. You choose from distinct classes like Warrior, Rogue, Hunter, Priest, Wizard, and Paladin — each with unique skills and combat styles — then head into danger zones to fight monsters, compete with other players, or test your build in arena modes.

Visually, the game offers a solid fantasy aesthetic with dynamic outdoor environments, detailed character models, and fluid animations that make combat feel visceral. Taking down foes, dodging heavy attacks, and watching powerful abilities unfold adds a satisfying punch to every encounter. Whether you’re exploring solo or teamed up with friends in co-op, the world feels alive and challenging, and there’s always something new around the corner to discover.

Gameplay revolves around strategic extraction — you push into hostile territory for gear and loot, and only by extracting safely with your haul do you secure your progress. This loop blends PvE skirmishes with competitive tension, especially when other players are nearby looking to steal your hard-earned treasures. The addition of a dedicated PvE mode alongside PvPvE gives both competitive and more casual players space to enjoy combat at their own pace.

The progression system is layered and rewarding, with vendors, crafting, and reputation playing into how you gear up and advance. Missions, daily quests, and arena challenges keep the experience varied, ensuring there’s always another goal on the horizon.

As for negatives, even though Eldegarde’s launch marked a major milestone, there are still optimization issues that need improvement. On some setups, framerate dips and occasional stuttering show that performance hasn’t quite reached its full potential yet — something that can distract from tense battles. Additionally, the tutorial could be clearer; new players might find it a bit rough figuring out mechanics like extraction loops, class synergies, and the overall flow without a more guided introduction.

To sum it all up, Eldegarde delivers an engaging blend of action RPG combat and extraction gameplay that’s both familiar and fresh. With a mix of PvE and PvP content, deep progression systems, and exciting multiplayer dynamics, there’s a lot to enjoy here. Despite a few rough edges in optimization and onboarding, it’s definitely a title worth checking out — especially if you love tactical fantasy combat with a competitive twist.
