Grab The Games: Shadows Peak

I am back ladies and gentleman with another great review and this time I am really excited to present you Shadows Peak. Shadows Peak is a story-driven, atmospheric, open-world horror game focused on exploration early access title. The main focus of the game is on the atmosphere, story, and exploration. Unlike most horror games, Shadows Peak allows you to explore large environments and progress through the game in a non-linear way.

Be warned, Shadows Peak will not hold your hand. You play as a writer who has decided to visit a mysterious place called Shadows Peak to gather materials for a new book about legends. A number of people have gone missing in Shadows Peak. Some people claim that they saw something that they shouldn't have been able to see there and, of course, there are some dark legends surrounding this place. The first thing that really impressed me in this game is the beautiful but yet simple design and graphics of the game in general. There are really large environments in the game full of details and really well-created.

The nature is really vivid and there are hidden dangers everywhere so be careful and run often! Another positive aspect of the game is that it doesn't hold your hand and you have to figure out yourself your next moves and what to do. The atmosphere of the title is amazing as well. You will constantly feel that you are followed or watched and in general that someone is trying to hunt you down. Moreover, another positive aspect is the atmosphere created by the music and the sound effects and the music of the game.

It gives the player a sense of thriller/horror like movie atmosphere. As far as the negative aspects are concerned, the first one would be definitely the fact that despite the freedom that this title gives a lot of people may find it too much because they will wonder around a lot trying to find out what do. A game that doesn't hold your hand is not for everybody. Another small negative for me is that the graphics and the textures could have been better designed and more realistic. An aspect that would make the game even more worth picking up.

To sum up, the game is really fun to play and worth picking it up especially for its price. Despite the negative facts, Shadows Peak is a title that is worth playing again and again!

Verdict: 8/10
