Grab The Games: Overcooked

Today I am really happy and honored to present you a game I was really thrilled to review, with the help of my gf of course, called Overcooked. We gathered at my house and played a lot of co-op stages and versus mode as well. It was so much fun that she wanted to play even more. But let's start from the beginning. What is Overcooked? Is it worth picking it up? Stick around and you will find out right now. Let's start with the story of this platformer. Overcooked is a chaotic couch co-op cooking game for one to four players. Working as a team, you and your fellow chefs must prepare, cook and serve up a variety of tasty orders before the baying customers storm out in a huff.

Sharpen your knives and dust off your chef's whites, there isn't mushroom for error and the stakes are high in these crazy kitchens! The Onion Kingdom is in danger and only the finest cooking can save it! In Overcooked players must journey through a variety of cruel and unusual kitchens on their quest to become master chefs capable of conquering an ancient edible evil which plagues the land. Play solo or engage in classic, chaotic couch co-op for up to four players in both co-operative and competitive challenge modes. You'll have to cook a range of different dishes and work together in order to become the most effective and ultimate team. To begin with, the very first aspect that really surprised me is the graphics and in general the art work of the title. They are really sharp, unique and create an amazing atmosphere for even the most demanding players.

The levels are really well created full of details and the dialogues/story is not only tight but also funny sometimes. I loved the way you can navigate through levels with your car or helicopter. The goals in each stage are pretty much simple but when you start playing what you thought being simple get really hard. There are great challenges in each level like rats stealing your ingredients or trying to navigate the kitchen while you are on a ship in the middle of the sea. I should not forget to mention in my review that the controls are really simple and easy to get use to as well.

Furthermore, there are a lot of different ways to play you can organize your kitchen with your friend one to cut for example and one to serve. You can play alone and control both characters or you can play versus mode and compete with your friends who will score more in the kitchen. As far as the negative aspects are concerned, there aren't any. If I had to mention one that would be the lack of online multiplayer in the game. It would be awesome if you could play with other people online.

To sum up, the game is really amazing and is definitely worth picking it up. It definitely lives up to its potential and it can satisfy even the most demanding player.

Verdict: 9/10
