Grab The Games: Murder

Today I am really happy to present a short but full of messages to deliver game called murder. But what is Murder? Is it worth picking up? Let's start by first mentioning some info about the game. Murder is a short story about the intersection of morality and sentience, told in the form of a point and click adventure game.

Over its memorable thirty to forty minute playtime, murder takes players on a journey into a cyberpunk Tokyo, following the actions of a Lieutenant in the Tokyo Metropolitan Police on an unusual and dangerous case. Murder deconstructs the fundamentals of the point and click genre, creating a style somewhere in-between classics of the genre like Beneath a Steel Sky and a more minimalist, story focused and streamlined experience. To begin with, that I loved first in this title is definitely the minimalist graphics and the whole cyberpunk Tokyo scenery.

The voiceovers in this game are rich and there are amazing details in everything. The soundtrack is memorable as well. Another aspect worth mentioning is that the game has all the good aspects of point-and-click games but also a cinematic flair especially in the cut-scenes. All the dialogues also are rich in details and enhance the overall good atmosphere of the game.

Furthermore, the game delivers strong messages about morality which is an aspect that makes the game worth picking up. As far as the negative aspects are concerned, one of the biggest aspect is that the game is 15 minutes short only which is a huge drawback. Despite the low price 15 minutes of pointing and clicking are not worth the current price of the game. The game could have been a series or a police-investigation game with more episodes and things to discover.

To sum up, despite the positive aspects of the games its length is a huge drawback for me at least. I would recommend picking up the title on a huge sale.

Verdict: 5/10
