Ohh yeah Giana Sisters are back! And this time with a really interesting “speed running” game. Let's start by saying what GS:Dream Runners is all about! Giana Sisters: Dream Runners is a dream come true for the team from Black Forest Games.

The game pays tribute to superb titles like Micro Machines or SpeedRunners,as up to 4 players compete in local couch-multiplayer or in online matches, not only trying to get first place, but to be so fast that everyone else is left in the dust. Use special abilities and a wide range of power-ups across the game's nine different maps. Avoid obstacles and try not to get hit by the stunning, slowing, stopping or repelling effects your opponents surely won't wait around!

The first thing that I loved in this game is definitely the graphics and the environments where the game takes place. There are now 9 available levels each one more difficult than the other, full of surprises and dangers that you should be aware all the time and always pay attention. The graphics are really good and I am really sure everyone will enjoy them. The levels are full of colors and details. I also loved the fact that you can change dimensions in the game and when you do that there is a whole new level to discover and new challenges await you. The gameplay is not linear at all every run is different even with bots and the uses of various power-ups make the game even more challenging.

You can play online or alone or locally! There are also a lot of characters to choose from. Apart from the 4 giana sisters when you beat the levels apart from the achievements you will collect, you will be able to unlock new cool characters. This feature with the online and the local multiplayer enhance the replay value of the game. The title also has ranked matches as well! Maybe in the feature we will see some tournaments as well. As far as the negative aspects are concern, since the game pays tribute to titles like speedrunners a lot of people will state that there are a lot of similarities and it is just speedrunners in a giana sister's universe.

To sum up, the game is really enjoyable. Giana Sisters: Dream Runners manages to pay tribute to games like speedrunners but also maintains its originality and delivers a great gameplay experience for people that love both worlds (Giana Sisters & Speedrunners) A must try game in my opinion!
