Grab The Games: Dead Effect

Zombie Hunting! My favorite sport of all! It should definitely be an Olympic Sport but that is a story for another time! An amazing representative of it is definitely Dead Effect. In this title you fight for your life in the INDIE SCI-FI FPS that fits both casual and hard-core gamers with a passion for hunting down hordes of zombies. Prepare yourselves for the incoming nightmare! What's the story behind the game?

The ESS Meridian starship is travelling through space with a new FTL technology, heading towards its destination - Tau Ceti f, the first planet in the history of mankind to be colonized. A few months later an elite member of Unit 13 is disrupted from cryogenic sleep. But Tau Ceti f is nowhere in sight and something is very wrong. What happened to all those people? Why are they so aggressive and attack without any survival instincts? That is when you show up and try to figure out everything by killing zombies of course!

To begin with, there are a lot of aspects I love in this game. First of all, the graphics of the game are really good and improved since the last time I played the game on iPad. The zombies are also well created and detailed something that I should also mention in my review for this title. Another aspect I loved is that the campaign is 5h long which is really satisfying at least for me and also it is different than the mobile version with more rooms as well something it should be told as well!

Another aspect that you are all going to love is the gore. Lots of weapons and special abilities to choose from that offer lots of gory hours that will satisfy even the most demanding players and shooter game fans. Furthermore, the game just got out of early access and it really is and feels like a complete product, even better than the mobile experience.

On the other hand, there are some negative aspects, even than the game got better on steam and got achievements and everything, I still can't find a good reason why someone should prefer the pc version that is instead of the mobile that it is FREE even if both experiences are truly satisfying

Finally, I had such a great time reviewing this gory indie shooting game and I totally recommend it to everyone even for the people that have play the mobile version they will still have a good time with the steam version of Dead Effect.

Verdict 7/10

+ Lots of weapons

+Gore Gore Gore

+5h gameplay and different story from the mobile version

-Wasn't convinced completely that I should choose this version instead of the FREE mobile one
