Grab The Games: Dead as Disco

Another day, another review for our fans! Today, we’re diving into Dead as Disco, a neon-drenched beat ’em up that blends martial arts, music-video energy, and rhythm-synced combat into one stylish package. The game recently launched into Early Access on Steam, and it puts you in the shoes of Charlie Disco as he tries to confront the Idols and reunite his band. The premise already gives the game a strong identity, and the early Steam response is very positive.

What stands out immediately is how tightly the combat moves with the music. Every punch, kick, and combo feels like it belongs to the beat, and that gives the whole experience a lot of energy. Early coverage describes it as a vivid, unrestrained romp that feels like fighting through a music video, and that is exactly the kind of personality this game needs.

Visually, Dead as Disco leans hard into its comic-book-inspired style, with bold colors, sharp presentation, and a look that makes every encounter pop. The soundtrack is clearly a huge part of the experience too, and that musical backbone is a big reason the combat feels so satisfying. It is the kind of game that does not just ask you to fight; it asks you to fight in rhythm, and that makes a big difference

As for the negatives, it is still an Early Access game, so a few rough edges are to be expected. Early impressions mention some bugs and camera issues, and one common concern from players is that the story and world-building feel a bit surface-level for now. None of that ruins the fun, but it does show there is still room for polish as development continues.

To sum it all up, Dead as Disco is a bold and highly stylish beat ’em up that already nails the most important part: it feels great to play to the beat. With its strong combat, striking presentation, and very positive community response, it is off to a promising start. If you enjoy action games with personality and rhythm at their core, this one is absolutely worth keeping an eye on.
