Grab The Games: Corpse of Discovery

I had a long time to play exploration games but recently the corpse of discovery came out and I couldn't let this opportunity sleep away. Let me tell you a few things about the game first. You wake up on a base in a new, unexplored planet. Your landing craft is torn to pieces and your gear is scattered. Why are you here? What is your mission? How will you ever get back home to your family?

Corpse of Discovery is a thought-provoking first-person planetary exploration game located on a myriad of unexplored planets. As the player, all you know is that to return home, you must complete the mission at-hand for the Corps of Discovery. However, with each mission completed, you're left with unresolved questions and zero answers. While contending with extreme and harsh conditions, such as intense storms and unbearable heat, you must remain determined while completing missions for the Corps of Discovery. You'll meet AVA, an AssistBot who will accompany you on your journey and make sure you're constantly reminded of your importance to the Corps. However, you have only one goal in mind: to get back home to your loved ones.

The first thing that I like in this game is definitely the graphics they are really sharp, the world is colorful and there are a lot of different environments to explore. Moreover, I love the clean interface of the title and how easy it is to learn the ropes of it. Furthermore, I love the different hazards of the planet like lava or radiation aspects that make the game more interesting. You have also the chance to explore your environment and learn more about it

and the life forms of the world but your ultimate goal is to return home to your loved ones save and sound. Unfortunately these are all the positive aspects of the game and now it is time to move on to the negative ones. First and foremost, there is terrible frame rate and optimization in the game that will force you to switch to the lowest possible quality. Moreover, after a few missions the game is completely linear because you do the same thing over and over follow the mark, press E and ta daaaa.

To sum up, this game starts really promising but with all the negative and the linear gameplay it is not so worth getting for 15euros/$.

Verdict: 5/10
