Grab The Games: Cornerstone: The Song of Tyrim

Today I am really happy that we have the chance to review and play Cornerstone: The Song Of Tyrim. But what is this title all about? Is it worth picking up when it becomes available on Steam? This game combines Action role-playing, puzzle solving, and crafting combine in this sprawling open-world fantasy epic, which invites you to take on a range of sweeping quests, battle unforgettable adversaries, and experience the adventure of a lifetime.

An interactive, physics-based world of wonder bursting with colorful characters and exotic islands filled with tricks, traps, and treasures to explore awaits your conquest as you gather fantastical artifacts and equipment which can be crafted into playable vehicles and more. It's been years since anyone last saw the Viking men of the village of Borja, and young Tyrim is determined to set forth and find them. Wielding his crafting and combat skills, you'll set sail on the Mad Goat across the seas to uncover the world of Nygard's mysteries, collecting fabulous relics, uncovering forbidden secrets and magic, and ultimately challenging an ancient and unstoppable evil as you quest to bring the Vikings home.

The very first aspects that I loved in this game are the graphics. The world is really colorful and vibrant. It is really inspiring and it creates a really soothing atmosphere. Another positive aspect is that there is an open-world aspect and a blend of action RPG, physics-based puzzle-solving, and combat. As far as the weapons in the game are concern there is a whole crafting system that can help you with that. The physics of the game are really fantastic as well and the devs have made a really good job. The characters that you meet during your journey are really well-designed and there are a lot of dialogues that will intrigue you more in continuing your adventure.

I should also mention the fact that there are playable vehicles in the game like ships, windsurfers etc. As far as the negative aspects are concerned, a big negative for me is that the combat is too repetitive without dept hit, hit, avoid and repeat until your enemy is dead. Moreover, the crafting doesn't add anything in the world I mean it doesn't offer the excitement that it should and makes the players feel that they should craft more and play the game even more.

To sum up, the demo we previewed offered us a lot of fun but there are some negative aspects that players should consider before buying the game when it will be available. I hope the game will evolve more and become more fun and a cool game to play for all ages

Verdict: N/A (demo version)
