Grab The Games: BADLAND Game of the Year Edition

Everyone's favorite game has finally reached PC with the GOTY edition. I remember spending hours playing this game on my ipad and I really couldn't be happier that it reached steam! But what is Badland? BADLAND is an atmospheric side-scrolling action adventure platformer set in a gorgeous forest full of various inhabitants, trees and flowers. Although the forest appears to be right out of a beautiful fairy tale, there's something terribly wrong.

The player controls one of the forest dwellers to find out what's going on, and discovers an astonishing number of imaginative traps and obstacles on the way. To begin with, the first thing that someone notices when he opens the game is definitely the beautiful graphics of the game. The graphics are really outstanding and for the GOTY edition the graphics have been improved and they are above Full HD. Some of them are also hand-painted. Another aspect worth mentioning is that the controls are completely improved for Steam.

Instead of the one button experience you had on iOS you can now use all the arrow keys or your controller and all the levels are re-designed to enhance this experience. The title also features 100 levels completely unique and different one from the other so expect to be busy for hours! No satisfied yet? Ok the game has not only local multiplayer for up to 4 players but it also offers the ability to play on the same keyboard like we all did on some old games.

Pretty cool in my opinion! It also has achievements, leaderboards and cloud save! However, there are some negative aspects that I should mention. First and foremost, apart from the improvements I have already mentioned from the iOS I can't see why someone should buy this version instead of staying in the mobile one. Another negative for me is that the achievements banner of Badland covers a little bit of the screen for some seconds.

To sum up, the game is really amazing! I am sure everyone will love it and I had a great time playing it! Totally recommend it! This is a game from which you learn that sometimes sacrifice is needed and also that you can't save everyone!
