Grab The Games: Aquanox Deep Descent

Another day, another review for our fans, and this time, thanks to our friends at THQ NORDIC, we got our hands on a title I couldn't wait to get my hands on since it was announced. But is the game worth your attention, you may ask? Well, stick around, and you will find out. A few things about the game first.

Aquanox Deep Descent is a first-person underwater vehicle shooter in which players control various customizable ships to engage in fierce battles in the dystopian deep sea world of Aqua. In the near future, the Earth's surface has become uninhabitable. What remains of humankind lives in former mining and research stations, deep below the sea's surface. Born and raised in the only world we know, the loose network of underwater settlements, torn by the war for resources and dominance between various factions.

Take control of a team of highly trained fighter pilots and experience an epic story in the dark world of Aquanox. Send your enemies down to Davy Jones' Locker with well-aimed torpedoes, shrapnel blasts, mines, and more in a journey that takes you across the world's oceans and into the deepest trenches of our Earth. To begin with, as far as the graphics are concerned and, in general, the artwork of the game. They are quite beautiful and sharp at the same time.

The levels and the world are unique and full of details. Moreover, the game offers the chance to explore and discover a great story that keeps you wondering what will happen next. The title manages not only to remain fresh with the upgrade/customize system but also it features a great co-op experience. There is a four-player drop-in co-op, with four unique pilots who are all involved in the game story and classic multiplayer modes like deathmatch and team deathmatch. Aqunanox deep decent also has good voice acting and a fantastic soundtrack.

As far as the negative aspects are concerned, one of the few things I have to mention is definitely the fact that the game gets repetitive after a few minutes. Another aspect I should mention is that the characters lack depth and feel blunt.

To sum up, despite the negative aspects, I enjoyed the game to some extent, but at the end of the day, I can't recommend it. Honestly, I expected more from it that didn't deliver in the end, more action, more depth, etc. I recommend buying it only during a sale but being aware of what it truly offers.
