The time is 5:40 pm, and after a hard day at work, I decided to relax and play the brand new game Staxel. Staxel is a productive farming and village life game with a cast of quirky characters. Build your farmhouse, help villagers, take to the wilds to fish or hunt for bugs, and grow a variety of crops in your backyard. If you're feeling social, you can even invite your friends over to share in the fun!
It got my attention because it seemed really soothing and easy to play, but what more it has to offer? Is it just another farming video game? Stick around, and you will find out soon? Let's start with a few things about this game. To begin with, the very first aspect that got my attention are the graphics. They are simple but unique at the same time. Casual but they have a fresh twist as well. Furthermore, the game despite being an early access title, it offers such an amazing feeling. The AI is excellent if you think the state of the title. The dialogues are quite good as well.
You can definitely enjoy both single and multiplayer modes of the titles. The word is also really well created full of details and it feels like you are actually inside Staxel, taking care of your farm and doing more quests. As far as the negative aspects are concerned, well the title is currently in early access as I mentioned before, there are a few bugs but the game is getting regular update. Another small issue in the title is the map.
It is sometimes hard to navigate the town, and I would prefer a standard map (when you press the M button) that will show you your current location and where all the shops and other essential places are. Furthermore, it would be great if you always teleport outside your farm or inside it. I am excited to see how the title will shape in the future. What content will be added? Maybe more animals and quests?
To sum up, the game so far is impressive and is definitely worth picking it up if you want to support its further development. It has for sure a high potential and can't wait to see what's next!
