Hounds: The Last Hope

Hounds: The Last Hope

Time for another review guys and this time I will present you Hounds: The Last Hope, a new game created and published by Netmarble games. It is a story based, MMO Role Playing Shooter presented in third-person perspective. The World is in ruins. Wickbroke forces caught the whole world off guard and started the apocalypse for humankind. Cities fell one by one. Only a handful of places stand still. Let’s start our review with the positive aspects of the game and what it has to offer to the players.

The very first aspect of the game that impressed me is definitely the rich and satisfying story of the game. There are also a lot of amazing cut scenes that create a great atmosphere for the players and enhance the overall game experience. Furthermore, the title offers different modes. Each mission in Hounds has also a challenge mode for those who would like to taste the mayhem of the Wickbroke Apocalypse. Gather your friends, prepare your plan because without tactical cooperation, you’ll just be crushed by the enemy. There is a also a great competitive PVP option with more than 4 game modes and 8 PVP maps where you can test your skills against other players from around the world. Awesome right?

Another positive aspect that I should definitely mention is the variety of weapons available. With 10 different weapon class and countless skins and variations, together with the dynamic options, Hounds may be the only game that you’ll be able to have a gun that suits your taste. You can customize your class exactly as you like!

The character customization is amazing as well with many options to create the ultimate soldier. As far as the negative aspects are concerned, unfortunately there are a lot. The first is that the graphics of the game are terrible and it seems like a bad ios/android port to pc. The voice acting is not as good as it is expected especially in the cut scenes. The price tag of the game is also unreasonable for what it offers to the buyers. The game also has low population and the co-op invitations are annoying and cover much from the screen.

To sum up, I can’t really recommend this game if you want a serious and money worth shooting game. I would suggest getting it at a huge discount or just forget its existence completely.

Verdict: 4/10
